Ye gods, I'm having a bad month of things. Unfortunately I have injured my right shoulder and, whilst it hasn't incapacitated me entirely, it IS making drawing and using the computer to colour my artwork difficult and painful. To proceed as such would probably cause more injury from which the likelihood of recovery would be considerably lessened. While I get treatment for it I have decided it is indeed time for a short break from tooning and I will take the rest of October all of November off.
As long as the physio goes according to plan I anticipate being back on deck from December. So, sorry about that - no comics for the next month but I'll be using the time to write, etc since that's much less dependant on my right hand... _________________ The Bare Pit - 'cos nudists have adventures too, y'know!

| Sorry to hear about your injury. I wish you a speedy recovery. Is it an issue with the muscle or the tendon. Anyways, have a safe recovery. |

the scan indicates it is muscular in origin, caused by lifting too much weight or something stupid like that. clearly I am getting old... _________________ The Bare Pit - 'cos nudists have adventures too, y'know!

Yeah, you are better off taking it easy and getting some rest. We'll still be here when you get back. _________________ Sargasso Soul- My new webcomic! |

Rest up, Noodtoonist! I hope your mending is thorough and your hiatus productive!
I feel like I should have been posting about the current storyline, I think I just have so much to say that I feel the paralysis of starting to write about it! As someone who works on a college campus, it seems to me that the college setting is indeed a wasted opportunity for nudism. I think it could be done (nude classes/activities, etc.), even or especially on an official level (as opposed to unofficially, like streaking), but it would have to be done carefully. Those lurking young men you've drawn certainly dramatize the difficulties behind what Darcy has started.
Kudos on the plotting, because you've put Willow in a very well crafted dilemma, with pros and cons on both sides! |

thanks for the well wishes. It is quite frustrating to be ham-strung like this just at the point where I was getting to the good part (or at least what I hope is the good part) - but yeah, I think too much drawing would only aggravate the problem and possibly stop me from being able to draw at all.

thanks. as with all my stories I have an idea where events are headed but leave room to develop surprises for myself, and I've had a few so far... _________________ The Bare Pit - 'cos nudists have adventures too, y'know!

Quelle dommage! Having the dread bursitis myself, I can sympathize. Hope you're back on track soon!

Ack! Horrors! Get well soon and all those good things for you!
As goes the plot, I was wondering when the Nude Yoga classes would take to the sunshine of the Quad instead of whatever enclosed space they're currently in... _________________ My DA Gallery

yes, indeed - it is in fact "subacronial bursitis", very annoying and very hard to fix it would seem.
actually Atomic, your post reminds me I forgot to post a Bare Manors last Sunday, silly me - I'll put it up this coming Sunday instead. _________________ The Bare Pit - 'cos nudists have adventures too, y'know!

| ouch, sorry to hear about the injury. Take good care of yourself. You don't want something like this to cause recurrence later in life. |

UPDATE!: well I got a corticosteroid injection into the problematic muscle and that seems to be making a difference. Fingers crossed it improves... I'm itching to get back to the tooning! In the meantime I am not idle but working on a few Bare Pit related projects behind the scenes... _________________ The Bare Pit - 'cos nudists have adventures too, y'know!

Well, that's good to hear, but don't go jumping the gun. Better to wait it out than aggravating the injury unnecessarily. _________________ Sargasso Soul- My new webcomic! |
