The Detroit News, p 12S, 5 March 2003, cited a serious cartoon, Matt Feazell's one linking tobacco and terrorism!
The cartoon sure makes a point -- tobacco kills more than terrorists!
This includes the drug - terrorism $$$$$ money trail ('drug dollars go overseas, subsidize terrorists'), the situation is worse -- as tobacco is the starter drug, according to significant medical research, in a great number of cases!
A cartoonist could summarize this sequence better than any narrative: tobacco > drugs > overseas growers > money to terrorists.
We periodically read of arrests of Hezbollah type here, smuggling cigarettes to raise $$$.
This a serious subject the cartoonist, Matt Feazell, dealt with. It is commendable. I look forward to more.
