Page 1 of Chapter 5

The first page of Chapter 5 is up and shows an important characteristic of our heroes-the Valourans (the powerful, advanced, near-immortal race that makes up the majority of the Vanguard) all possess some level of telepathy, and can link minds with each other, sharing thoughts, feelings, experiences etc.

This mindlink is especially strong between Valourans who are close to each other, like lovers, spouses, parents and children. Sanaatha has been mindlinked to her parents Cerena and Franklys since she was in her mother's womb, and while the link has been somewhat diluted over time, she can't help but "transmit" strong experiences over that link to her parents.

Especially the experience of a searing hot plasma bath across her lower back...
