Hello all. First of all a huge appology to everyone for the hiatus.
I'm not dead yet!
A number of things compounded to cause the comic to be late, then latter and finally latest. Most of it had to do with my life which hit a huge bump. In the middle of school and work I had a hard time picking myself back up and the little energy I had I had to devote to those two things, for money and a continuing shot at my MFA.
Things have settled down considerably, especially as I am between productions right now (For those unaware I am currently pursuing an Master of Fine Arts in Asian Theatre Performance which includes a rigorous practical perfromative aspect).
However... There's always one of those. My current host has changed their service from ftp to scp. I am web illierate. I taught myself how to use th ftp on fugu but haven't gotten much further than that. So updating the site has turned into a whole leanring a whole new way to update. I have also lost the original code for the home page sometime during my transfer to my new computer.
The comic is not dead! I have all the pages finished. I just can't get them to you unless I take a full afternoon to work on it, which I haven't yet had.
So I've decided to make a comprimise. Sometime with in the next week I will post the remaining pages in the forum for your veiwing pleasure.
In the meantime take a look see at this. http://www.geocities.com/doppelgangergeisha/windmills.html
I have not been idle. My next project is already underway although my new way of working is a much longer process with more time between times I can draw. So it may be a while before I have a comfortable enough buffer to launch.
I love my current web host, but the ftp was working so well for me. I dont know how the scp will be. if anyone knows somewhere I can move both comics under a single heading that has ftp, or eve one of those browser uploaders drop me a line.
Thank you all for the patience. I appologize again. And I promise I upload you some new art later too.

Sweet merciful snap! It's KAISERIN!! *Pounces/glomps/tackles/etc*
Good to see your still alive and kicking!
Hope school works out for you. I'm in the middle of a huge catch 22 when it comes to my schooling.
I can't say I know much about web.... anything. Taking computers apart, tinkering with the insides, and putting tham back together is my forte.
I'm looking forward to the finish of Schwarz Kreuz. I'm also anticipating your next project. _________________

WOW!
So glad to see you're still alive, Kaiserin! I was seriously beginning to wonder if something had happened.
Thanks so much for keeping up with the comic! I just read I Am Legend yesterday, and it got me all thinking about Nik again and wondering how he's doing.
Sorry to hear your webhost nuked FTP for you. Have you tried using an SCP client? Though I understand how life gets when it's busy, and it's hard to sit down and take an evening to crank through learning something new like this. You have my sympathies!!!
Welcome back -- I can't wait to dig into the new pages!

Glad to see you back, and a delightful ending to an excellent tale.
There's another for my Completed folder. _________________ PAX DRACONIS! Rar! |

That's right, I should have posted something here since I know folks get emails about it.
SK is back and finished. *Whew* sorry about the deley.
And comming soon is my next project, Broken Windmills. I'm not sure when I'll be launching this it is so difficult to get time to draw over the school year for me what with one thing and another. So I want to get enough of a buffer to sustain regular updates.

Heya! Glad to see you back,
I second Hal's suggestion of using an SCP client.
SCP is just a fancy way of saying SSH with File Sharing, Download WinSCP and log in using that and it will give you a nice drag and drop interface that you can use to transfer files back and forth.
I still have a server if you want to switch, I could easily setup FTP but honestly SCP is better anyways if you can learn how to use it. SCP is and encrypted connection so the chances of someone getting your password is a lot slimmer. As long as you use a good client like WinSCP it will actually be very easy to use once you get the hang of it.

Well I got the server working again. Fugu works fine for me as far as uploading and stuff. Honestly I'm just lazy when it comes to change
As far as not being dead goes, Zell is the only one to sign up to get emails about Windmills progess if anyone else wants any updates (by which I mean, IT'S HERE! when I finally get started) email me and let me know.
shooting for september though I may wait til xmas to make things neat and clean. _________________ http://schwarzkreuz.xepher.net/ |

So glad to see the end of the story! Well...er, you know what I mean. I was so worried it had gone the way of so many other webcomics and been abandoned. Then my sis said it had been finished up, and so I spent last night reading the end of it. Loved the story very, very much all the way through. _________________ Deranged Comics Fan
