If you haven't taken a look at Zebra Girl in a while, then I'd highly recommend catching up. The writing and artwork has been absolutely fantastic as of late, and it looks like it'll only be getting better (once Joe starts updating again in a week or so)
Its easy to see that PS was planned as a graphic novel instead of a webcomic... and while that does mean the pacing is a bit unsuited to web distribution, it's also one of it's strengths. Like I said, it's an awesome read going through the archives (done that twice already), and I imagine the printed version works just as smoothly... if not better.
Yeah, ideally, there'd be a 2-3 days a week update schedual, but thats obviously unfeasible for you. Its not like it'll kill us not to know what happens next (Insanity, though? Maybe!)
While I'm musing aimlessly, I wonder how the hell some comics can become profitable enough to be a person's sole occupation.
Anyways, about the forums... that sounds like a fantastic idea. Though I'm not a member of them, the forums for Order of the Stick seem to do that (multiple sub forums for discussing everything from the comic to Dungeons and Dragons), and those forums are absolutely nuts. I don't know if there's a correlation (the comic likely is the main reason the forums are so crazy), but the setup of those boards might be a good model to look at.
