Your forgetting the instinct for self-preservation, clearly.
She obviously wants to get Mal in trouble, and is prepared to stoop pretty low in order to get there.
But I'd be willing to bet that marking a Jew for death in the process would end up with her being in merde an order of magnitude deeper than anything they could throw at the poor Redcap for merely helping her shop.

Plus they ARE in public, with a bunch of people besides Trudy around. Not great timing to drop the glamour.
Incidentally, props must be given for the half-glamoured first drawing. Awesome transition. |

Um, wouldn't Trudy be using her wit like awhip right about now? I don't think she'd put up with that from anyone, fairy or no. And then she'd ask Mal some questions.
