(This is the first draft of a new Requesting a Forum topic to replace the old and tired one. Admins, feel free to improve on it.)
Anyone who creates an online comic is welcome to have a forum hosted here at talkaboutcomics.com. In order to set that up, you need to follow these steps:- Register here as a user, so that you have a username. If you want any co-moderators, they have to register as well.
- Post a reply in this topic requesting your forum. We'll need the following information to set it up:
- The URL of your comic, so we can check that it's actually a comic.
- The name you want to give your forum.
- A brief description for your forum. If you want the description to include a link to your comic, say so.
- The forum usernames of any additional people you want as moderators.
- Wait patiently for one of the admins to set things up. He, she, or it will then post a reply to your request in this same topic.
- Verify that no silly mistakes were made.
- Enjoy your new forum!

The name you want to give your forum.
News Briefs. A forum for "The Adventures of Chad Cleanly."
Confirm the story and gripe at the producers!
I would like a link to the comic on the forum, please.
Thanks! _________________ Scarlet |

I would like to request a forum for Sordid City Blues, URL: http://www.sordidcityblues.com/
I would like the forum to be called Sordid City Blues.
Description:
"Sordid City Blues is a webcomic graphic novel by Charles Schneeflock Snow. It centers around the lives of five characters: Charlie, Brandi, Edna, Mynah, and Luther. Sordid City Blues deals with complex issues of religion, sex, body image, relationships, and sometimes, skeeball.
Sordid City Blues is a dominantly black and white comic although spot colour is used to identify and accentuate the key players. Each key character has one item or clothing detail colored a specific color. "
I would like the description to include a link to my comic. _________________ Charles Schneeflock Snow

... which is far too long. Keep it under 255 characters, and check the index for appropriate examples. Something that reads like the start of a review is out of place here. |

Hello Bo!
I just set up an online comics series here on Webcomicsnation and I realized I could have a forum for it! That would be much appreciated!
The URL of your comic:
http://www.webcomicsnation.com/komikero/cresthut/
If you could give a link to this on the forum, that would be great! There would be no other moderator other than me.
The name you want to give your forum:
Crest Hut Butt Shop
A brief description for your forum:
Talk to Gerry Alanguilan about his Daily Comics Diary here.
Thank you very much! _________________ http://www.webcomicsnation.com/komikero/cresthut/ |

*NOTE: This is QUESTIONS, not the actual request for a forum*
Hi! I commenced my web comic "Kaustic auZzie Notes" back in late May
http://sauerpuss.anobviousdistraction.com/
(First episode is here : http://sauerpuss.anobviousdistraction.com/d/20070527.html)
Although I'm 1 week behind schedule I've managed to keep the comic moving pretty well so far.
Now the thing is, I'd like to have a shared forum with Kheetor84 and DHLawrence (in fact I'd like to be listed as administrator #3). Kheetor84 is already the administrator of the Across the Pond forum. We want to know if it's possible for the name of this forum to be changed to "Lyons Publishing" which would then include my own comic as well as all of Heather's other work.
The problem is further complicated by the fact that Kheetor84 has lost her password.
Can you please let my team and myself know what options are available to us here? Without any action being taken at this early stage. _________________ In case of emergency break time and space

Does the password reset function not work as intended? |

Thanks for the reply Bo!

Does the password reset function not work as intended? | She's lost the E-mail address that was linked to the account; sorry, I should have mentioned that. Would it be possible for her to send a new E-mail address to you by PM?
Anyway, I've heard back from DHLawrence who says that Kheetor84 now wants to start a new forum. DHLawrence and I are in favour.
May we therefore have a forum entitled "Lyons Publishing" with us as moderators in the following order:
1 Kheetor84
2 DHLawrence
3 Stephan

Yep. As long as the old e-mail address is mentioned in the message and the new e-mail address is mentioned somewhere on the account's web site.

Please supply a short description for the forum index. Also, moderators are unordered. |

I'm partial to "For discussion of Across the Pond, Kaustic AuZzie Notes, and more!" but my partners in crime may have ideas of their own. |
